Interviews can be nerve-wracking experiences,"please tell me something about yourself that isn't listed on your CV", is a typical interview question. It's a question that seems completely innocent at first, but even the most prepared people might easily get uneasy. 

but with the right preparation and attitude, you can ace any interview and stand out from the crowd. Here are five tips to help you make an impression on your interviewer and land the job of your dreams.

1. D0 your research!

You'll want to make sure that you know as much about the company, its mission, and the people who work there as possible before walking in for the interview. This way, when it comes time for questions, you'll have something more interesting to talk about than "my favorite color is blue."

2. Come prepared with questions!

You want to know what the company does, how they got their start, and why they've grown into a powerhouse. Make sure you have some questions about their current position as well.

3. Know that your body language speaks too!

Maintaining eye contact, maintaining decent posture, and using body language will help you leave a positive impression. Even if you have the most wonderful concept, it won't be as effective if you're slouching in your chair when you deliver it. When speaking, keep your posture straight in your chair and look the interviewer in the eyes. Check to see whether you're fidgeting with your hands or crossing your arms. Also, maintaining good posture definitely boosts your confidence.

4. Be confident! 

It doesn't matter how qualified someone is if they don't believe in themselves enough to stand out from the crowd. 5. Be polite with everyone!

With everyone, of course! Give every employee you meet your sincerest smile and be friendly. After your interview, the company might ask workers what they thought of you.
